See what a Shopify store is really making
Open any store and get its monthly visits, a 12-month traffic trajectory, the countries sending that traffic, and an estimated monthly revenue range — before you decide whether the niche is worth entering.
What the panel shows
- Estimated monthly revenue as a range, with a confidence indicator
- Monthly visits and the month-over-month change
- A 12-month traffic trajectory, so you can see growth or decay
- Global traffic rank
- Top markets by share of visits
- Average order value and product count feeding the estimate
Traffic and revenue are modelled from third-party traffic data and category conversion benchmarks — never reported sales. They are directional and best used for comparison.
Getting a real answer out of it
Check the trend before the number
A store doing 70K visits on the way up is a very different business from one doing 70K on the way down. The trajectory chart matters more than the headline figure.
Read revenue as a range
The panel gives a low and a high bound because that is genuinely what the model supports. Use it to compare stores against each other, not to value a business.
Look at top markets
A store that looks big globally may be tiny in your country. Top markets tells you whether it is actually a competitor for you.

Frequently asked questions
How accurate are the revenue estimates?
They are modelled from traffic multiplied by category-typical conversion and average order value, so they are directional rather than exact. They are reliable for comparing two stores and unreliable as an absolute valuation. The full method is on our methodology page.
Where does the traffic data come from?
Third-party traffic panels and our own crawl of the store, combined into a single monthly estimate. No store analytics account is involved, and we never see a merchant’s real Shopify dashboard.
Why is revenue shown as a range?
Because a point estimate would imply precision the model does not have. The range reflects plausible conversion rates for that category at that traffic level.
