Dropshipping profit calculator
Work out whether a product actually makes money after ads. Enter your selling price, your product + shipping cost, your payment processing fee, and your ad cost per order to see net profit per order, net margin, and your break-even CPA — the ceiling on what you can pay for a sale.
Gross profit before ads = price − product cost − fees; subtract your ad cost per order to get net profit. If your real cost-per-purchase is above the break-even CPA shown here, the product loses money at that price. Compare against the Break-Even ROAS calculator and the profit margin calculator before you scale spend.
Frequently asked questions
How do you calculate dropshipping profit?
Profit per order = selling price − product cost − shipping − payment fees − ad cost per order. Margin = profit ÷ selling price × 100.
What is a good profit margin for dropshipping?
Many dropshippers target a 20–30%+ net margin after ads. Winning products often carry a 3×+ markup (sell at three times product cost) to leave room for ad spend.
What is break-even CPA?
Break-even CPA is the most you can pay to acquire one customer before losing money — your gross profit per order before ad spend. Keep your cost-per-order under it and you profit.
